Feature film directing and producing credits include My Brother Jack, starring Marco Leonardi (Like Water for Chocolate and Cinema Paradiso), and Freddy Rodriguez, star of Quentin Tarantino's Grindhouse. The film has won several festival awards abroad and in the US, and is distributed by Castle Hill. Anthony also directed and produced What's Up, Scarlet? for Open City Films with Sally Kirkland, Jeri Burns, Musetta Vander and Susan Priver which premiered theatrically at Leammle's Sunset 5 in Los Angeles. He also directed Mafioso for Allumination Filmworks, with Leo Rossi and Robert Costanzo, released theatrically and on DVD. Stage credits as a director include A View from the Bridge, starring Burt Young, and Detective Story which earned the Best Director Award from Drama Logue, as well as a nomination from LA Weekly. Other recent credits include the English classic A Taste of Honey, The Price by Arthur Miller for the Odyssey Theatre, The Beauty Queen Of Leenane, and Harold Pinter's The Lover and The Collection at The Hudson Theatre, winning the 2002 LA Weekly Best Director Award. Anthony was the founder and served as Artistic Director of the Washington Market Playhouse, a non-profit theater group in Tribeca, where he produced and directed such plays as The Hostage by Brendon Behan, The Voyage by Eugene O'Neill, Small Craft Warning by Tennessee Williams, and The Time of Your Life by William Saroyan. Before coming to Los Angeles, Anthony , as an actor, compiled an extensive list of off-Broadway stage credits, including The Two Character Play by Tennessee Williams, which he also co-produced with the participation of Williams himself. Anthony made his theatre debut as an actor in Los Angeles in the critically acclaimed production The Dodo Bird at Theatre West, winning the Best Actor award from LA Weekly. Anthony went on to produce and play the lead in the west coast premier of Modigliani. His film credits include Blood Red with Giancarlo Gianini and Dennis Hopper, Friends and Enemies with Dean Stockwell and The Patriot with Leslie Neilsen.

Caldarella is currently a director member of The Actors Studio.
